Caroline Rogers




Caroline is an expert in a cappella singing.  She performed renaissance music a cappella with the Sibling Singers for the San Diego Symphony Board of directors and for SOHO (Save Our Heritage Organization) at the Villa Montezuma, and sang a cappella with the Old Globe Theater Madrigal Singers, Balboa Park, and Pro Musica Chamber Singers, San Diego.  Caroline also loved singing the great choral works with the San Diego Master Chorale under her mentor, Dr. Frank Almond.  She keeps her "chops" up by singing with

the Masterwork Chorale and Pacem groups at the First United Methodist Summer Sings each summer, and by playing guitar, singing, and directing the choir at Chapel of the Hills UMC.

Caroline Rogers is a K-12 credentialed Music Teacher.  Most recently, she taught Music and Musical Theater/Drama for Julian Charter School in Pine Valley and Alpine, California.  She created a popular "School of Rock" style music program there, teaching piano, guitar and voice, with late guitar instructor Jeff Cash.  She has taught children with Down Syndrome and Autism, as well as GATE children. In May of 2015, she was given the "Descanso Hall of Fame" award for Music for her contribution to her community.


Caroline has a versatile performing and teaching career ranging from Rock n Roll to Classical Music.  Caroline taught Musical Theater and Voice at Grossmont College's "College for Kids."  She played keyboard and sang with "Pine Creek Posse" Rock Band for 10 years, regularly "gigging" at Alpine Summer Concerts and Downtown Cafe, El Cajon.  She was Music Director at Chapel of the Hills, United Methodist Church for 10 years, where she directed children and adult choirs and Praise Band.  Caroline was pleased to be chosen to direct  a 400-voice choir at the United Methodist Choral Festival. Caroline sang the latin mass and special music for St. Joseph's Cathedral, San Diego each weekend for 5 years.
